Our Mission

The Mission:

Our mission through Simply Study is simply this: to show people the truth of God’s word and the simplicity of reading it with understanding!! The Bible enables us to see God’s heart towards His creation and to know our value in His eyes. We aim to reveal God’s character and encourage people to have an active, living relationship with Him. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Vision:

Our vision is to build a community of believers who can strengthen, support and encourage one another anytime, anywhere. Many Christians today are doing life solo. They don’t go to church, don’t have many Christian friends or accountability from peers to live up to God’s standard. Yet many of these same people are genuinely kind, tender hearted people who love God and want to do what’s right. According to the Bible, this is the purpose of the church: that we pray for one another and learn the teachings of God, that we comfort one another and build each other up, that we build community and encourage one another to follow after God. (1 Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:42) We want to create a culture of people who can excite and challenge one another, encouraging each other to live a life that’s pleasing to God. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17) There should be no such thing as a solo Christian. We need each other!

Statement of Faith

We believe in One God…

Eternally existing in three Persons: FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT. Equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all and governs all. (I John 5:7)

God the Father…

We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom and measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:48; Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 11:3; Nehemiah 9:6; Hebrews 1:2-3; Psalm 103:19; Ephesians 1:11; 1 Kings 8:27; Psalm 90:2).

God the Son…

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, sinless in His life, who made atonement for the sin of the world by His shed blood and death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His high priestly intercession for His people. We believe in His personal, visible and triumphant return to the world according to His promise. (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:14; Hebrews 10:9; John 1:29; I John 2:1-2; John 14:3; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; Acts 1:11).

God the Holy Spirit…

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from God to convict the world of sin, to convince the world of righteousness, of judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower those who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Spirit. (John 15:26, 16:8-11; Romans 6:3-6; I Corinthians 12:13; II Thessalonians 2:13; I Peter 1:1-3).

The Bible…

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments fully inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21; Acts 17:11; Isaiah 8:20).

Salvation…

We believe that, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). We believe that all who receive, by faith, Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are born again of the Holy Spirit and, therefore, become children of God. We believe that justification means that a person is declared righteous in the sight of God by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (John 1:12; Romans 3:21-26; Ephesians 1:13, 2:8-10).

The Church…

We believe in the Church. A living, spiritual body in which Christ is the Head and of which all believers in Jesus are members. We believe the purpose of the church is to lead believers toward maturity through the Word, fellowship, prayer, and communion. Christ has also committed to the church the responsibility to proclaim to a lost world their need to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to recognize Him has Lord. We believe that Jesus has committed to the local church the ordinances of Baptism and Communion, open to all believers, to be observed until He comes. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:42; Romans 6:4; Acts 2:28; Matthew 28:19Luke 22:19; I Corinthians 11:24).
