Luke 10-”These were his (Jesus’) instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields… Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. And don’t stop to greet anyone on the road. “Whenever you enter someone’s home, first say, ‘May God’s peace be on this house.’… Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay.”
John 4:35-36: “You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike!”
Giving is Biblical
The disciples could not have traveled and shared Jesus if it weren’t for the generosity of the communities they went into, and the work they did was of the highest importance. Their time and sacrifice established a powerful church ministry that has lasted us 2,000 years!!!
We want to share the gospel with as many people in as many places as we can, and grow them into mature followers of Jesus Christ. This requires resources. It requires bringing our community to them. It requires frequent follow up. So, would you consider a one-time donation or a monthly partnership to help further that mission? We can’t do this alone. We need each other, and the people of the world need us to reach out to them. So let’s get to work!!
